14Manuel d’Oliveira will participate as a special guest in the great hommage to Paco de Lucia that will take place June 18th in Centro Cultural de Belém.
On February 25th 2014 passed the maestro of maestros Paco de Lucia, universal flamenco guitarist, Honoris Causa Doctor by the university of Cadis and by Berklee College of Music, graced with the Asturias Prince Award in 2004, among other countless distinctions. Lisbon’s Flamenco Festival, in it’s 8th Edition, couldn’t miss the chance to associate itself to the hommages, in all the aspects of art, that have since then been multiplying. To accomplish it, we invited young flamenco player Amós Lora, whose way of playing is so special that Paco de Lucia himself insinuated that he would one day be his successor. In his tribute will also be the bailer Paloma Fantova, from Carmem Maya school and Manuel d’Oliveira, for his mastery in interpreting Paco de Lucia’s flamenco.
